In the big bad world that people very fondly like to address as the 21st century
super evolved world, there is so much congestion with the modern humanoids that
it leaves minimal space for people who have managed to keep their hearts still
functional. And as we go about our daily lives, we try, and that is just what we
do, try. We try and put the others before us, we try and make compromises just
to see others smile, we try and adjust outside our comfort zone, and we go out
of our way just to help and make others feel good. But even as we continue in
our journey of selflessness, we often end up realising that everybody around is
probably not as keen and bent on self sacrifice, as we, very foolishly are. And
then, the epiphany comes, nobody cares, nobody genuinely cares. That is when we
end up more perplexed and lost than ever, trying to find answers within
ourselves and make sense out of the very nonsensical world.
In the habitat that we thrive in, the company that we have is very hostile, and dangerous in so many ways that it is beyond all levels of reachable imagination. Cribbing and realising are not solutions, for sure, hence we must make use of all of it, and conclude, that our goals should never ever remotely be affected by dogma. Pleasing the others is never and should never be our goal, and even while trying to make ourselves happy, we may go on a zillion guilt trips, since we are the self loathing and emotional fool types, we must learn to be a little selfish in life. Never do anything which you genuinely and honestly don’t believe in, do not be helpful if you don’t want to, learn to say no, and learn to put yourself before the others, once in a while at least. When everybody around is very busy trying to drag everyone down and very slyly move ahead in the rat race, then calling yourself selfish just because you chose to make yourself happy for once is
being too harsh.” A red rose is not selfish because it wants to be a red rose. It would be horribly selfish if it wanted all the other flowers in the garden to be both red and roses.”Learn to make peace, with your actions, your past, even with the changes that are rapidly and uncontrollably taking place. Stumbling and falling is okay as long as you are ready to make the effort to get up again. Time shall not stop for anybody, even though we might want it to, very desperately. To make up for its stubborn unstoppable candour, time comes with an advantage. As it moves along, gently brushing against us, almost unnoticeably, it takes away all the pain, healing us in an effortless and natural way.
So growing up is not easy, it requires patience and persistence. You know you have it in you, just trust yourself.
